The 2025 East Coast Track and Field Championships (06/14/2025)
Another meet after 10 hours of driving. This time, I am more aware of the fatigue I might possibly have after long hours of driving. I stayed hydrated and utilized cruise control to save myself some more energy for the meet. I managed to go straight to my pre-meet practice after the trip, and did well in the meet 2 days after.
Although I had some decent jumps in this meet, I struggled to make legal jumps. I only have 2 jumps that were on the board, and didn’t foul. Starting on the turf might be the reason, as the runway was not long enough. My initial push was on the turf, and it was challenging to adjust. Apart from that, I was also not consistent enough in my approaches. I was more aggressive and applied more force on the ground for the last 3 jumps, which I should have had in that shape in the first jump.
In the coming meets, I will try to be aggressive earlier, especially in the middle of my run. Once again, congratulations to my teammate Austin on hitting a big PR!
